One stake can have several evaluations
A cascade removes qualifying symbols and fills their spaces. Gemix describes new symbols dropping after winning clusters until no further combination is created. The display can therefore change several times within a round without each change representing a separate newly staked round.
The exact removal rule belongs to the individual game. Avoid assuming that every symbol disappears or that every cascade creates another win. The game help should identify what ends the sequence and which effects can occur between evaluations.
Follow the persistent object
Sugar Rush marks positions after a winning cluster. The symbol can leave while the marked position remains. Its provider description gives different persistence durations in base play and free spins. This is a useful reading technique: ask whether the thing remembered is a symbol, a position, a meter or an award modifier.
Book of Dead’s expansion is different again. A selected symbol can cover positions on its reel under stated conditions. That is symbol expansion; it does not mean that the playing grid itself has gained rows.
When the playing area changes
Sweet Alchemy explicitly describes a five-by-five base grid and a nine-by-nine free round. The dimensions change between modes. The relevant question is what rule initiates that change, and which cluster and collection rules apply afterwards.
More visible positions alone do not prove a better return. You also need the symbol distribution, evaluation rules and complete mathematics to make a probability claim. Our diagrams explain structure only; they are not reels, game simulations or predictions.
