Reading the mechanic
Tome of Madness uses a five-by-five cascading grid, with clusters of four or more matching symbols. The provider describes a special wild that substitutes for high- and low-paying symbols and a Rich Wilde multiplier wild with a narrower substitution role. [1]
Winning cluster symbols charge a portal. The documented milestones at seven, fourteen and twenty-seven symbols introduce wild placement and portal effects. At forty-two collected winning symbols, the Other World free round begins. These thresholds are counts of qualifying symbols, not simply a number of winning spins. [1]
Other World adds portal effects between completed cascade sequences. An additional eye-mark collection condition can release a Mega Wild. This layered structure is why a short description such as “a cascading bonus game” would lose useful information: the count, effect timing and separate collection condition each matter. [1]
Take it to the paytable
- Compare the substitution limits of the Special Wild and Rich Wilde multiplier wild. The two symbols are described with different high- and low-paying symbol scopes.
- Read the portal milestones as counts of qualifying symbols. A cascade with several clusters is not simply one unit of portal progress.
- Follow where a portal effect occurs between completed cascades in Other World. Then read the eye-mark collection condition separately from the portal threshold.
