Reading the mechanic
Big Bass Bonanza places collection at the centre of its free-spin feature. The provider describes money symbols carrying values and wild symbols that collect the visible money symbols. A displayed money value should therefore be read with the collection condition, rather than assumed to be an immediate award by itself. [1]
Three, four or five scatters award ten, fifteen or twenty free spins respectively. During that feature, every fourth wild triggers another ten spins. The documented retrigger progression introduces multipliers of 2×, then 3×, then 10× on the third retrigger. [1]
There are two counters to understand: the number of spins left and the number of collecting wilds towards the next step. Following only one can make the feature look arbitrary. The provider’s upper money-symbol value is a possible symbol value, not evidence that such a symbol will arrive in a given sequence. [1]
Take it to the paytable
- Read the symbol-value table and the collector rule side by side. Ask which symbols contribute to an award when a collecting wild appears.
- Separate the free-spin counter from the wild-retrigger counter. Find the rule that defines when a collected wild advances the next feature stage.
- Confirm the applicable retrigger sequence and any feature ending conditions in the actual help. The presence of a displayed value does not remove the need for its collection condition.
